Re: Light Table won't show exposure following current

Have you switched off a frame by accident? Like this:

Re: Pixel Art

No, the cutbrush works over any range of frames (which you have to select first).

Re: Shortcut questions

There is a list of default keyboard shortcuts in the appendix of the manual. You can customize them under edit/preferences/general/keyboard shorts. I'm afraid some keys are reserved for special purposes, but you'll get used to different shortcuts fast. In fact, now I always try the TVP shortcuts in ...

Re: "Two Popes"

Well, it's only possible to work that fast if you don't allow for revisions or changes. You'll easily see which parts I've re-used over and over. The characters are only rigged as far as needed, sometimes with only 2 bitmaps like in their first appearance. If a part didn't fit a movement, I just pai...

"Two Popes"

4 min music video I did for a minimal budget in just 2 weeks time. All assets created in TVP, animation done in Moho. Made good use of all my new texture brushes to give it a picture book look. The whole thing was mostly improvised, with no storyboard and only minimum planning. 245275627 https://vim...

Re: layer blending mode

Colorize.

(I just created a PSD file with one layer set to color, opened it in TVP and it had set the layer to the corresponding mode.)

Up and down arrows?

Seriously, have a look into the Keyboard Shortcuts list, nearly everything you could wish for is already there.

additional option in modify project

Since Pjotr asked about it:
what about adding a frame range in the modify project panel so we can extract parts into new projects?
Or maybe, for increased speed, something like "cut up project by bookmarks", making each bookmark the first frame of a new project?

Re: Workflow question for a short

You should definitely split your profect into separate scenes. Not only gets navigating a lot easier, you also minimize the risk of data loss (which thankfully only can happen when your comuter loses power during saving a file). Since you already started to animate, you need to cut up your layers at...

Re: Annie Awards 45th

And TVP really is in good company there. The Annie website is a mess, they seem to not even have a complete archive of their own awards, but I could spot Toonboom (booh!), Maya, Flash (2008), besides the more esoteric in-house software packages of the big studios.

Re: Dissolving between instances

In your case you first need to isolate the 2 frames you want to dissolve from the 99 exposures. Just copy them into a new layer, which now should consist of only 2 frames, and proceed as I wrote to stretch this to the desired length of dissolve. (I don't know your workflow habits, but I permanently ...

Re: Dissolving between instances

There are several ways to do this, I use this: - have a layer of several frames - grab handle at the right and pull until it's a multiple of the original frame count - in the dialogue, I check interpolate and click stretch. To be sure to have the original frames untouched somewhere, I extend their e...

Re: MOTION KEYFRAMER DESIGN MENY

No, you're not alone, the Keyframer is a pretty complex thing, although its basics are explained in the manual. I agree that the rotation axis names (XYZ) should be used instead of (or additionlly to) bank, head, and pitch , as these names are totally unknown to non-native speakers of english (or pi...

Re: Particle Tutorials

That effect is so short, I wouldn't even open the FX panel for it but animate it by hand.

There is a bunch of particle FX in the bin for this FX, have you seen them? Usually I load one of them as a starting point and tweak it to my needs.
