Re: Replacing the black areas of hi-con matte with a color?

And the longer I use it, the more I invent special workflows around it to use it to my advantage. If only this would be scriptable ... (with the ability to store away the action in case)

Re: Replacing the black areas of hi-con matte with a color?

OK. Step by step. Is it black areas on white? Use Scan Cleaner on all frames. Is it black areas on transparent? Good. Switch on "preserve transparency". Drag a rectangle over the first frame. All black should be coloured now. Is it? Good. Undo. Select all frames. Hit "Enter", that's "re-apply". All ...

Re: Replacing the black areas of hi-con matte with a color?

Set the layer to "preserve alpha", drag a coloured rectangle over the frame, undo, select all frames, re-apply.

If the white is not transparent, use the "Scan cleaner" first.

Re: Crash

Uh oh. This sounds like a corrupted file, I'm sorry - if the disk is full and software attempts to write a file anyway, corruption is likely. Take care to upload that file to wetransfer.com so you could send it to TVP staff, they often can save it. Does TVP crash if you just create a new file and sa...

Re: Crash

Out of space: you mean hard disk space? (Last time I had this problem was in the 90's ...)
Do you have more than one volume? An external drive?
If only 1 volume: see that you can have 20% free space.

Re: feathered edge

Of course. Just set the "smooth" range before drawing the selection (or use the magic wand). The nice thing is that you can add or subtract from a selection, and change this parameter each time.

Re: Copyright rules

Does Adobe own rights to any image created in PS? No. Same is true to any other imaging or painting software.

Re: JSON script - Export to After Effects naming pattern

Working on Mac, I've noticed that PNG is definitely slower in writing than other formats, in TVP as well as in PS.

Re: images pour imprimer

La manière habituelle: la taille d'impression en pouces x la résolution souhaitée vous donne les dimensions du projet en pixels.

The usual way: printing size in inches x desired resolution gives you the project dimenions in pixels.

Re: acceleration with motion keyframer

Woah, never noticed that setting. It's not referenced in the manual, am I right? Does anybody know a rule of thumb to translate those values to 35mm lens lengths?

Re: From Tvpx to Abr

Well ... that's one of the reasons I prefer TVP over PS for painting.

Different programs have different approaches and brush engines. If you need to achieve a very special effect (and TVP and PS don't give you that result), you may need to research other paint programs as well.

Re: From Tvpx to Abr

First you need to know how to create a brush in PS. Then export a brush bitmap from TVP and use it.
