Re: gifs
Hm hm ... seems like some GIF setting is borked. Do something which changes the images (like adding a pixel in each), then save under a different name and try to modify that new project?

Re: TVPaint 11 keeps crashing
Oh, that's interesting, I've got a nearly identical configuration, but still on Ventura. I should test a bit.
Could you be more exact about when it crashes? Someone else mentioned working in 4K.

Re: Export clips to TVP projects
Often repeated warning: avoid anything outside 7bit ASCII in file and path names. So it's A-Za-z0-9_ only.

Re: Color Replacer & Multi Color Replacer Issue: can't reverse
I just duplicate the color layer so I can keep the original version. Clients change their mind faster sometimes than I can hit cmd-Z.

New hardware
So finally I had the money for a new Mac. It's a Mac Mini M2pro, and it's so light that the cables pull it from the table. Have connected my new Cintiq, installed Moho 14 and TVP 11.7, I'm up and running again. For all this money I expect the hardware to run for 20 years. And why not? My oldest Mac ...

Re: Questions about TVPaint 11.5.3
ah, I think I can guess why you can't get any newer Mac OS: it's complaining abut not finding a certain class of graphic card. Had that as well. In the end I bit the apple (and took the money) to buy me a brand new Mac Mini M2pro last week.

Re: Questions about TVPaint 11.5.3
I don't think yours is a Powermac, they were discntinued in 2006. Do you mean Mac Pro? If so, a 2013 Mac Pro should run OS 10.15, which will support TVP 11.7.0 at lest.

Re: TVPaint cannot import any file other than .tvpp
Since I work in a mixed environment and get files from any origin I made it a habit long ago to sanitze file names as well as path names down to 7bit ASCII, even name layers that way. It pays in the long run.

Could you move the files to a place where there are no special characters in the path? Then try again.

Re: Pixelated edges around files such as PNGs or TGAs
Oh yes, that is an issue in all programs I use. My usual workflow is TVP to Moho or FinalCut. In Moho it depends on brightness of top and bottom colour. If I animate white clouds in TVP to put them on a bright blue sky in Moho, I use "no premultiply". Some bright clour on the same colour i...

Re: Pink Floyd music video
I'm still just halfway through viewing the other entries in competition (more than 700!), or, what I call it, "benchmarking". There's not much in terms of 2D drawn animation, but I just found one mentioning TVPaint: YNS-Lpv4tnA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNS-Lpv4tnA&list=PL0SqtI95...

Re: MacOS M1 - Glitched Audio
As a workarouond: could you convert and save the video to something else, like .mp4?
If you only need the audio, you can open the video in Audacity and export as .wav or .aif soundfile.

Re: FX Stack + Shaker
- Remember that any FX is only applied to the frames you select in the layer. So if you select only the few frames at the impact there will be no shaking elsewhere.
- You can select and shift the FX keyframes to another position in time, so the same effect will be applied to different frames.
