Re: BRUSH HELP

Oh, I forgot to mention that the last missing percentage of opacity might come from using a Paper texture?

Re: BRUSH HELP

Svengail: This depends very much on the bitmaps you use, and the spacing (step) of the brush. The more overlap, the less opacity percentage you need because it will already add up to 100% in the overlapping areas. The first example with the airbrush uses a relatively small step size, so even 75% pre...

Re: BRUSH HELP

Ah, mistake in the same area: you can't get 100% opacity from something which isn't 100% opacity, like the bitmaps in your brush. Have a look: I made this brush from scans of a real sponge, the bitmaps are 100% each. I've sorted them from light to strong pressure (on paper), set the animation to pre...

Re: BRUSH HELP

Is it possible that you exported the wrong brush? When I install the file you attached, I get this:

It's just an airbrush setting, not a Custom Brush.

Anyway, try the same profile trick with the Pressure in Opacity in your Custom Brush.

Re: BRUSH HELP

Hi Joanna,

1. You need to set the Power to 100%, otherwise you'll never get 100% opacity.
2. Click on the "P" besides Power, select "Profile Editor", and adjust the curve to something like my attached screenshot.
3. Done.

keyboard replacement/additional hardware?

I know that some of you use additional controllers which can be programmed to emulate keyboard shortcuts and so on. A friend of mine would like to try this, but I'm lost at finding any of these in this forum. Could you recommend some or point me at a good source for this? I even don't know the exact...

Re: What is the best size for projects?

Square pixels, which is "Pixel Ratio: 1.0". Everything HD is that.

Also consider whether you deliver the final broadcast tape (with sound) = unlikely, or just animation which will go into some video editor.

Re: Morph from one image to the next

Have a try with the Optical Flow FX. Works best in reverse, define the end position first, then distort to start position. Reverse frames later. It's also possible to combine several techniques, like using the Drawing Recorder, plus something else covering the middle. Don't get yourself trapped by t...

It's much easier to create a mask of the object and cross hatch inside it.

Re: Transform frame by frame?

If you have one instance with several exposures, changing the first frame will of course also change all subsequent frames. First you need to break up the instances into individual frames. There's a button for this in the Animator Panel.
