Re: Rain Town visual effects - Some info?

Thats Cool CartoonMonkey, Thank you. I should try it out.
Also, we still need to figure out how he displaced the reflection by the ripples. Mabe its easy to do with 3D or AE, but I'm not sure.

Thanks again for the tip :)

Rain Town visual effects - Some info?

Hello!
I just watched the amazing short film "rain town", and am very curious if any of you know how he achieved the reflections and ripples effect on the water? Is it some combination of 3D and projection mapping?

Here is the film on youtube in case you missed it:

Thanks!

Re: File sharing best-practices

I have some experience with that. We have just finished working on a project using Dropbox for sharing and syncing. It was a great experience. There is one major problem with it though, space :) All team members must have enough space for all project files they need. In our case, I had more space th...

Two bugs on TVPaint 10.5 64bit OSX

Hi, I found that the 64-bit version of TVPaint 10.5 on OSX crashes when I connect or disconnect an external display to my laptop. I'm not sure if its new in 10.5, because I previously used the 32-bit version. I will check this when I can. The crash is completely consistent, and it happens when I con...

Re: Exporting multiple-layers in one file

Its not headed for the dust bin at all. On the contrary. Its just not me anymore who is supposed to take it much further. I think I misphrased myself. I didn't intend to say that we won't try to improve and update the plugin, or to make you feel like you wasted your money. I apologize it came out li...

Re: Exporting multiple-layers in one file

I expected this :) Well, first of all, I am working on some fixes right now. I just became available for working on this, and at least for now, Im working on this for free, so I can only do things that are simple enough to implement. Some things are just a bit tedious to do as a plugin (and not an i...

Re: Exporting multiple-layers in one file

Hi Elodie,
Do you know where can I find this script? It might be good enough, though I'll probably give EXR a try anyway, just for fun.

Exporting multiple-layers in one file

Hi everyone, Im thinking about implementing a little something as a plugin for TVPaint, and wanted to hear from you if you will find it useful or maybe it already exists. The problem: I have some shots with about 6 or 7 characters. As I do my compositing in AE, and soon Ill try to switch to Nuke, I ...

Re: Revolution in coloring lineart: LazyBrush plugin release

I'm finally getting the chance to learn LazyBrush, which I bought awhile ago. I am having trouble with Tutorial #3 called Revealing Background. When I get to the step to click PAINT, I get the following message: Too complex scribble layer. Please use 'SetFG/BG Scribble' to avoid smooth pen strokes....

Re: Revolution in coloring lineart: LazyBrush plugin release

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I will soon implement some of the requested features. Right now I plan to add these features/fixes: - Painting multiple frames with one click - Keeping the layer's group color to the color of line-drawing color - Distributing resulting colors to multiple layers...

Re: Revolution in coloring lineart: LazyBrush plugin release

Are you sure you have drawn the line on the correct layer?
Is it possibile for you to upload an example file with the problem, or send us a link?
We will fix it, and it sounds like a very valid workflow

Thanks

Re: Revolution in coloring lineart: LazyBrush plugin release

About agressive mode - I think it can be useful mostly in a "layer-less" scenario. I mean, sometimes I want to quickly paint a matte behind some lines, and Im OK with having one or two layers, and not three. Maybe I want it for a specific frame only, and not the whole sequence. The slight ...
