Re: Tracker Panel

I want to apply the same name to many frames at once to that I will have this result: A_A_A_A_A_A_A_B_B_B_B_B_B_B_C_C_C_C_C_C_C Unfortunately , I think the only way to do that now is to manually rename each instance : A , A , A, A , A , etc. I would imagine that someone who knows the TVPaint script...

Re: Using the panning on multiple instances

use the panning tool on multiple instances by selecting a range of frames. But this action always creates new images for every Exposure cell, and there seems to be no setting to prevent that. Turn off Auto-Break Instance before selecting the range of frames you want to move with the panning tool. T...

Re: Tracker Panel

hey there! is it possible to rename multiple instances at once to have the same name? that could be VERY useful thanks! When you say rename multiple instances to have the same name , do you mean the same prefix ? Such as a series of drawings of a car , 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, etc. and you want to rena...

Re: Compatability with Toon Boom products

I've had times where I have moved artwork back and forth between TVPaint and Harmony , as PNG image sequences with transparency. Where it becomes tricky is if you've applied any FX nodes or special blending modes on layers in Harmony , those will not transfer intact if you move it back to TVPaint , ...

Re: New Klaus trailer

This looks absolutely spectacular. I just hope we'll see more 2d films in theaters after this. It does look nice. I want to see it. Unfortunately it's not really getting a wide theatrical release . In the U.S.A. it will only play in selected theaters (I think in New York and Los Angeles only) for a...

Re: Xsheet preferences not saved

Yes, I had that set. Same issue on 2 windows 10 computers. Thanks - I think I will start working without the xsheet. Too glitchy. I have to admit I always wanted to use the vertical X-Sheet in TVPaint ... I had used the one in ANIMO, also in Digicel Flipbook , and coming from a traditional pencil o...

Re: Imported Audio Glitch - ticking sound

Here is a thread where this issue was discussed: https://forum.tvpaint.com/viewtopic.php?t=9070 Someone mentions there that converting the sound file from .mp3 to .wav and re-loading it in TVPaint solved the problem : https://forum.tvpaint.com/viewtopic.php?t=9070#p83576 At one point in that thread ...

Re: Imported Audio Glitch - ticking sound

I remember that this "ticking" or "clicking" sound issue came up once before , but I believed it had been fixed before version 11.0.8. I've never experienced it since then (using 11.0.8 ) . I'll try to find the discussion of the issue that occurred previously , but the forum search function is not v...

Re: Locking Timeline and Applying Transformation while preserving exposures

My second question is if there is anyway to apply a transformation to multiple frames, but have it preserve the exposures. For example, I scale up an animation that is on 3s and applying the transformation turns it into 1s. You can do what Svengali suggested , to use the 'Recompute Many Instances I...

Re: A Way to Imitate Disney's C.A.P.S system?

If this is an example of the C.A.P.S. user interface.........what an eyesore!!! Visually, it is in-house software engineering at its practical worst.........with just a little time devoted to aesthetics it could have been improved exponentially. Yes, those guys at Pixar who programmed CAPS were ama...

A new post over at Cartoon Brew previews Hisko's new feature project for Amazon Prime streaming which premieres this month. It combines roto, 3d, hand-painted backgrounds and more. Re: Hotkey Configuration - Alt key change?

Anyway, we've added in our "to do list" the possibility to assign "rotation" and "move canvas" to another key. So Alt would be always assign to the features above (and could not be changed), but you could anyway assign another key to move or rotate canvas :) That is great,I'm hoping this will come ...

Re: Next Frame -shortcut?

There is some confusion because I seem to recall that in some of the TVPaint documentation you'll find references to "frames" , but other places the word used is "images" (as distinct from instances ) . If you search the shortcuts for "Next Frame" or "Previous Frame" you won't find it. The keyboard ...
