Re: TVPaint Animation 11.7.3 is available!
Dean, in my account, when I go to download wibu version, it has > TVPaint Animation 11.7.3 Std (mac-64 wibu) [14996wo].zip as the file I am downloading. But, when I install the program and check the About screen, it states the version is 11.7.2 (11.7). I'm on Mac. So, not sure if after installation...

Re: gifs
While on the topic of GIFS , does anyone have any tips on optimized settings for export to GIF in TVPaint ? I notice with an image sequence or .MP4 imported into TVPaint which is then exported ot GIF , the exported GIF is much larger than the source .MP4 file (even if the .MP4 was 1080p resolution a...

Re: The French Dispatch (Wes Anderson) title sequence animated with TVPaint
Here is the the complete animation sequence that appears in Wes Anderson's film The French Dispatch. This animation for The French Dispatch was done in TVPaint. (as was the hand-drawn animation parts of Anderson's stop-motion animated film The Isle of Dogs .) TVPaint was used for animation, Fusion f...

Re: Odd ERASER behavior in 11.7.2
I'm having this exact same problem! Only that when I rotate the stylus from eraser to pen, my pen jumps to another colour I have used previously. So I'm drawing with blue, I turn the stylus around to erase, turn it back to draw and the Pen tool switches to green or black... I haven't had the color ...

Odd ERASER behavior in 11.7.2
EDIT: The problem has been resolved in update to version 11.7.3 . ----- I noticed a strange eraser behavior in 11.7.2 today - In 11.7.2 I was using the PENCIL tool to draw, then I turn the Wacom pen over to use the Eraser end -- which worked correctly -- but when I turned the pen over to resume draw...

Re: Questions about TVPaint 11.5.3
Hi, Joe, I'm not sure if you're still checking back to this forum, but there is now a better solution for what you want to do with turning your animatic clips into separate projects. Hironari Takagi of Studio WIT has made a script to automatically export clips to projects with the clip name intact. ...

i omitted the first line of the grg script
It works now. Thanks!
Thank you Hironari Takagi for this very useful script.
Thanks to Peter for putting it into a custom panel .tvpx file.

Re: Questions about TVPaint 11.5.3
UPDATE : There is a much better way to do this now , so ignore the bulk of my post below and use this: Hironari Takagi of Studio WIT has made a script to automatically export clips to projects with the clip name intact. So if your clips in your animatic project are named in sequential order as SC_1...

+1 .
Excellent idea. It make sense.
I would keep the function in both Display Settings and in the Camera Tool panel if possible.

Re: Use of PNGs in After Effects
Hello David, this is something that will be discussed again during v12's life cycle, as it won't make it to v12.0. I still hope that PNG export settings can be fixed as soon as possible. (it's not a minor bug, because some clients specifically ask for image sequences delivered as PNGs, even though ...

TEST 3 - Export to JSON as PNG image format (PNG compression of 1 - the fastest export time). The export took 2 minutes to finish (so 2x longer than TIFF) The overall folder size with all PNGs s 5 GB . Re: Offering free TVPaint help
Chad, Someday, some one will write the definitive TVPaint Handbook... I'd buy it. Meanwhile, your offer of free assistance is very generous. I think the (Japanese language only) TVPaint book you refer to is available on Amazon, from Hironori Takagi , who posts here, regularly... sven I also remembe...

Re: Mistakes in the user guide
In the user guide there are no instructions on how to use the Timesheet function (in face, "Timesheet" is not even mentioned in the User Guide). I realize that the Timesheet function is primarily used by Japanese users of TVPaint , but if the function exists in TVPaint it seems that it sho...
