Re: Mac OS High Sierra
Hi! It was a struggle, but I finally got this to work. I'm running High Sierra on an iMac and I have a Wacom Cintiq 22HD. (I'm also running it on an MacBook pro with otherwise the same setup. That one worked fine all the time) I got TVPAINT to work on the iMac (*probably) like this: -New drivers fro...

[Job]Looking for a 2D animator, TV-series + apps.
Would you like to join one of the best animation teams in Finland and work in a heartfelt style that combines modern and traditional? In 2015-16 we will produce a new season of Gigglebug’s pre-school TV series and we are looking for one more animator to complete our team in Helsinki. If you are pass...

Re: "Gigglebug" iPad app - made with TVPaint
Thank you for sharing and thank you Thierry for the kind words! It was super nice to see this on Cartoon Brew! We released the app just a couple of weeks ago and we've got nice response. I might add here that we also made a TV Series of 10x5 minutes for pre-schoolers. TVPaint was part of the pipelin...

Re: Help with mimicing copic markers
Thanks Herve, switching the real time option off gave better results. But I still get the one rotated brush in the beginning of a stroke. I'll need to go and play with the shape of the brush too like Peter suggested. Thanks, I'll work on it.

Help with mimicing copic markers
Hey, I'm trying to make a brush set mimicing markers, I'm quite happy with straight lines already, but the rotation of the brush is not really working for me. Angle is set to follow the direction of a stroke, and it works the most intuitive, but in the end of the stroke there is always a rotation of...

Re: TVP animation is great for quick pose sketching
I don't think it's a good way to learn neither drawing at all nor drawing people. Doing it this way (by using books, 3D posing of more or less muscled men) results in most inflexible, cliched, and all over stiff heartless drawings. If I may give a tip: sit down in a cafe and start drawing people in...

TVP animation is great for quick pose sketching
Try this! Great way to warm up before animating or drawing. Go to http://www.posemaniacs.com, click 30 second drawing. Start a new TVP project. And start drawing, draw every new pose into a new frame. That's it. You may also want to use the recording panel to record the whole process. I know it is n...

Re: Helsinki International Film Festival opening film
I changed the link straight to the festivals site, where they have now embedded the film. If I've understood right, the entire film is not shown in every screening, but there are shorter versions too. I have to admit that the credits in the end give it a feeling of a complete film rather than animat...

Helsinki International Film Festival opening film
Long time since my last post in this forum. Here's something we did for Helsinki International Film Festival "Rakkautta & Anarkiaa". Which means "Love and Anarchy", and that was the theme of the film. The film was directed by Eliza Jäppinen and Falconauts and animated by us, ...

Good stuff Mikko! Do you use gradients with your light table all the time? Or was just for the preview?

I've got colors! installed on my DS
I think colors works better than I expected. To be honest I didn't expect that much from it. Some colors don't work that well... And the pressure sensitivity is what you can expect.I've found myself Shortcuts work well, the program itself is fast and loads quickly. I like the fact that it saves the ...
