Re: Offering free TVPaint help

No, it's not real. Essentially, I had a deal to make a TVPaint handbook, now eight or more years ago. That deal was scuttled when my daughter was born! It was time to pay attention to more important things, and unfortunately it meant I had to drop the book project. Sorry guys! I've discussed possibl...

Re: TVPaint for Illustration

Nice work... what would you think about a version of TVPaint made specifically for comics creators, with moveable / changeable comics borders / panels along with the color and texture layer? I think it would be a huge success against other software like Clip... :-D

Re: Anaglyph 3d via George?

This is fantastic Sven! (I have the same clip on / flip up 3d glasses ) -We may see an influx of people interested in TVPaint who do anaglyph 3d conversion in the future. Exciting! Here's one I did manually. It gets tough when you have to re-draw or erase portions of the drawings when things overlap...

Re: Anaglyph 3d via George?

Hey Thierry! That would be amazing if you can help! Yeah, it would be nice to have a tool where you select part of an image with the lasso selection tool, press a toolbar button, and it give you a popup, asking a numeric value to send the artwork to in "space". -200 or +200... -10 or +10.....

Anaglyph 3d via George?

Can someone good with George scripting help me with a script? I'd like to use the freehand select tool to highlight a bit of artwork, and then press a button on a custom panel that would: anaglyph.jpg 1: cut this selection to a new layer and turn the image from it's original color (black line work) ...

Absolutely wonderful! TVPaint should adopt these by default. (If you'd let them!)

Re: Share your Interface Look!

Taking colors from the latest TVPaint color scheme... Blue!
I have a hard time seeing that dull green and it makes dialog boxes / the timeline much easier to draw my eye's attention if the colors pop a little bit. I hope it helps you too.

Smooth screen when zoomed in

Here's a little control panel containing a "magic number" command that gives the screen a bit of smoothing when zoomed in.
Enjoy

Re: TVPaint Linux

Let me know! I thought the above was interested, because it opens the door to be able to run any type of Linux software on any other distro. I was sort of interested in using my iPad Pro along with the steam deck, with a software like Astropad… of course that could work with running Windows on the S...

TVPaint Linux

Something interesting for you Linux users. Don't use Debian, but want to use TVPaint?
Distrobox might be a solution. Here it is in use on the Steam Deck:

Do you have any examples of this technique? I would love to see it in motion.
