Re: Compounded Question

Just for the record: I successfully use external Firewire drives on my Mac with TVP. Hi, Slowtiger, Yeah, my temp directory is an external Firewire drive and I thought it was working fine all this time, but now I don't know ? I've had no complaints about how my TVP runs using the external firewire ...

Re: Compounded Question

It seems odd to me that if this sort of thing is required for maximum efficiency when working in TVP it is not covered at all in the TVP User Manual. Not a clue about having to set up RAID, etc. How is anyone supposed to know this ? This kind of knowledge is not something mentioned in any user manu...

Re: Compounded Question

What about for someone like me who uses a Macbook ? There is no room to install a second internal hard drive. What version of Macbook do you have? do Macs have expansion slots (express card)? Does this mean that an external hard drive ( HDD) is NOT recommended as the temp directory ? Not via USB. I...

Re: Compounded Question

So then I am curious about what kind of external device is supposed to be used for a Temp Directory ? It can be a second internal hard drive, installed within the computer. In theory, a fast SSD device should be perfect. Perhaps that could be clarified in the TVP User Manual , on how to set up a Te...

Re: Compounded Question

#3 : Well, a Flash USB key is limited by the USB bus (max 20MB) and the Flash technology (5/10MB when writing), so I don't advise you to use this. You should better separate your files (don't make one full 10 minutes project in 5000x4000pixels with 10 layers). If you want to improve TVP Animation s...

Re: Animated commercial with TVP Animation - La Pera Animación

... don't get me wrong I'm a traditional artist and I love animating on paper, but since I had my cintiq and there it is a software like tvpaint out there, I have to take the dust of my animation desk every week if you know what I mean ;). I know exactly what you mean. That describes my own working...

Re: Animated commercial with TVP Animation - La Pera Animación

That guy's blog is pretty great as well. This short film project was done with TVPaint too. But cleaned in Photoshop CS4 (?). Yes, I was puzzled by that , too. I sent him a note via his blog asking about the workflow of animating rough in TVP , but clean-up in Photoshop. That didn't make sense to m...

Re: Animated commercials for Zwitsal made with TVPaint

Good work ! I would like to see the other three when you are able to post . That's funny you mentioned the last shot of the baby's body was done with Moho --- I clicked through and watched the ad first before I read your entire post carefully. When the last shot came on I thought : "hmmmm... that pa...

Animated commercial with TVP Animation - La Pera Animación

While searching for something else I came across this posted on the blog of animator Pablo Navarro : "The commercial was animated mostly in TVPaint Animation Pro using a Cintiq 21x……..great combination!" Click through the link to see the rough animation line tests and the finished commercial. http:/...

Re: TV Paint Light?

How do you want to be able to fully use the Timeline without having it expanded?! I need to be able to see my cells and the exposure and be able to copy and paste cells so going from retracted timeline to expanded is not workable. As Zig mentioned, you can set a hotkey to toggle the Timeline on and...

Re: TV Paint Light?

Hi, OliveUK- For some reason I can't post a reply on the other thread (re: TVP 8.6) , but I wanted to make a suggestion for how you are arranging your toolbars in TVP . (re: your screenshots comparing Pencil to TVP) . On a tablet PC especially the collapsed (docked) mode of the toolbars and timeline...

Re: TV Paint Light?

well.... I just found that great example of what I need when planning my 3d animation Great example by ex Disney Animator and now Dreamworks supervisor Jason Ryan. People addicted to animation tradeshow know him for his dedication to sell the crappy Digicel software and .... he is very good at it. ...

Thank you Sven ! The new tvpx file installs with no problem.

Re: MergeAllLayers and KillExpose buttons (TVPaint 9.5.5)

Has something happened to the file since it was first uploaded ?

I tried downloading and installing Merging(sven).tvpx today (Dec. 27) , but when I drag the .tvpx into TVP in the normal way it returns an error message: "Bad File" .
