TVPaint only. Forced myself to learn the compositing side of it so don't use any adobe stuff now. Final Cut to put all the frames in with the soundtrack and do the leaders and stuff.

Really? I'm sure I've had faster. It's not doing any composition. these are single layer renders.

I'm trying to render a 4k png sequence with alpha, compression set to 10 - which means there's no compression - yeah?
Currently it's taking about an hour to render 2000 frames. This seems a bit sluggish to me. Is there anything I might be doing wrong, or that I can do to speed things up?

It stopped crashing there now, but I'm getting a lot more crashes than I used to. This is across two computers, latest version of TVP on 11.5 and one on 11.4. I have a new laptop here I need to run TVPaint on but it's not recognising the dongle. It's running big sur, I'm a bit confused about what the solution is reading this.

There's a great custom panel that does this, I use is all the time.

I can't find it in the forum now I'm looking though. The panel is called WARP... I'll look again later.

yep, that was the computer I first experienced the lag with, timeline and brush if I remember rightly. I tried the newer versions as they came out but I downgraded pretty quickly. TVPaint is my favourite software as it is so I'm not terribly upset yet! I even comp'd my short in it.

I animated 4k on a 2019 MacBook pro with a retina, and an iMac 32" 2013 without. No lag with either of them on the old version. Both have lag with the new version.
