Re: Sharpen?
You could maybe use erode too if it's for a line on it's own layer? Maybe.

Re: 3d in Tvpaint?
You can drop an OBJ in photoshop can't you. Just do your keys in that and then haul it over to TVPaint.

Re: TVPaint Doesn't Open?
Maybe try and disable the graphics card? I know tvpaint doesn't use it but that's also something that doesn't get used in safe mode. Might be something weird going on there... Access the Device Manager in Windows. Click the + or > symbol next to the Display adapters option in the list. Right-click t...

I forgot to thank people for the response to this! We had lots of applications and selected 4 for the job. We're animating in Vendome as we speak.

Re: Script to Invert Any Brush Angle? Angle Setting in Twist Mode doesn't follow the Canvas.
Ha! I encountered this on my current project, I did pause and think that's a weird thing. It's like it rotates the world rather than rotating just the canvas.

Re: Export from Tv-Paint to After Effects fails
If you're in a rush and don't mind a big file you can go to Export Footage > clip: Latyers structure... then save as a sequence with the structure saved as PSD. When you load that into AE you'll get a comp with all your layers in as they would be in TVP.

Re: Crashing on Save
I have something to add to this, although only slightly related but it might be worth a try... I've found if I close TVP with the universal keyboard shortcut (command + Q) it'll crash, but if I use the TVP keyboard shortcut (shift + Q) It doesn't crash. My question is does it crash with save or save...

Re: Another Brush Request
You might want to make your brush size similar to the size you'll be drawing with it. Scaling a brush too far from it's origin will start getting laggy.

Re: Camera movements
There's an introduction here - https://www.tvpaint.com/doc/tvp11/index ... a-movement
It seems pretty basic at first but once you master the graph you can do pretty much anything in it. It feels a bit like AE in the 90s, but you can still do a lot.

Re: Introduction to a Random OpticalFlowDeform FX
It works pretty well. I did a grid 150 x 100. It didn't bog down my computer at all. It's a recent 13" MacBook Pro.
Got a pretty good boil, quicker than generating a noise layer and then distortion map.
I'm going to try and max out the grid.

Re: Export looped clip
I use this all the time for looping, it's not what you're asking for but it's useful to know about so you don't have to slip layers to have things looping and boiling for animated elements of characters etc. https://www.tvpaint.com/doc/tvp11/index.php?id=lesson-tradigital-animation-advanced-repeat-i...

hmmm, this might be a useful alternative method for creating pseudo boil. I'll check it out properly later.

Re: how to get transform tool to *not* effect adjacent frames before application
It is annoying as hell. I've made myself try and use the onion skinning to try and judge it, but that's not ideal.
