Re: finished work: The Animator's Way of Surviving the Crisis

Ha ha, the reason lies in having two babies within 12 month! I don't know if the world can take it having you forever, Paul  ! OK serious now. I am not proud of taking three years for three minutes animation. But I am proud of finishing at all. Heres the background: I applied for foun...

Re: finished work: The Animator's Way of Surviving the Crisis

"Right story, the right style and the right technology" I absolutely agree. After three ambitious short film projects with making lots of mistakes I will try the next one avoiding these. Drawing in a too complex style and becoming dependent on others doing it are the first to avoid. About...

Re: SAUNA TANGO finished

As far as I know they only offer films which have a comprehensive ditribution contract including Cinema, DVD, and "new media" disribution with Kurzfilmagentur Hamburg. AAAH, I thought they are selling compilations only but I just found a single short film for 3 EUR. So its worth a request ...

Re: SAUNA TANGO finished

Yes, I know this is a procedure of jumping hurdles. But it is the only reliable way at the moment with a sharing of 51 % for me and 49% for them. Creating an own online shop would be crossing a jungle of german laws, lost without payed guidance. I applied for iTunes and createspace but they are not ...

Re: Animated commercial with TVP Animation - La Pera Animación

Sorry to disturbe. But interesting discussion. After working three years on 4 min I'm thinking a lot about which way to choose now. The last years were full of sumultanious jobs I wasn't able to meet the requirements. Raising two little children while working on my animation film while keeping the h...

SAUNA TANGO finished

Dear Community, FINALLY. After three years of foreward steps and backward steps here we are. Postkarte_klein.jpg Sauna Tango is a 4 min (incl entitles) animation film entirely made with TVPaint Animation Pro 9 (starting with 8, I think) except Background and Steam animation. Both artists might be ab...

Re: finished work: The Animator's Way of Surviving the Crisis

Sauna Tango is stamped as a 2010 production. The classical way is, first sending a film to the festivals, then try to broadcast on tv and then try to sell it on dvd. Why do you sell your film on DVD first? I am asking, because after walked through the hell of festival submissions (I don't have any ...

Re: finished work: The Animator's Way of Surviving the Crisis

I am sorry for that. I like your work, especially the laughing baby. I hope, I'll have the opportunity to see more of your work somehow else in the future. If you like to have my personal feedback again, please feel free to contact me. Obviously the interpretation of "fair" is quite differ...

Re: finished work: The Animator's Way of Surviving the Crisis

I believe that much of the problem stems from the overly protective attitudes of some of the members here who fear that these critiques are dangerous because they might discourage new artists from joining the forums or even from buying the software. Personally I am convinced that the opposite is th...

Re: Mads Juul Panel

Just continuing this thought of modern charts: What would it be if you could bookmark your instances in different ways like "key" maybe in black, "extreme" - red, "breakdown" - green, "inbetween" - blue (keeping it with Richard Williams :) )? The instances cou...
