The software we used for the user gallery had a huge security hole, which was exploited by some people.
We are currently looking to find a better software to put it online again.
Any ideas ?

Sorry for the inconvenience.

EOS are another SDKs from Canon, one for Mac, one for windows, and not compatible at the source code level with the SDks for 'point-and-shot' cameras...
And again begging to get that SDK !

Support for EOSes may come, but no promise because of those many hurdles :(

This is a problem with the latest quicktime update.

Doing an update from inside quicktime (I don't know how, I'm on a Mac :)
seems to solve the problem on XP32.

Hi elrod,

on the server with the dongles, you need to install the "Sentinel Protection Installer".
You need this only on the server.

On the clients you only need "Sentinel System Driver".

Both sould be on your CD, but just in case, here they are...

Or use the command line (everybody should learn to use the command line :) Open a terminal window (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal), and type : cd /the/folder/with/the/files tar cvfz outputfilename.tgz *.wav This will generate a compressed tar archive of all .wav files in that folder. If you have o...

Can't you just cut out a few secs (enough to clearly hear the bug) and upload that.
For my test, as long as the errors are still here, I don't need more.

With the tab key you can change project fast.
With the "project" tab in the layer panel too.

So no, there isn't any reason beyond individual preference I guess.

In this very specific case it doesn't matter as the files aren't saved, just transfered from the scanner to "inside" TVPaint. In the general case, it all depends on what you want to do with your animation. GIF in OK for small anims on web pages, but reallly bad for almost everything else a...

You can also use the terminal, in /Applications/Utilities/Terminal .

Be sure to be logged in as a user with administrative rights.
If you are the only user of your system your usual login should be OK.

Hi,

TVPaint loads the sound at the sampling rate of the file.
How big is your file ? Can you post it here, or send it to me privately if you prefer ?

The pop is something I did look into often, but I was never able to reproduce it on my computer. Maybe this time ?

There was a file permission bug at some time, you have one of the bad installers, sorry.... Here is a quick fix : Log in as the user who installed TVPaint. Open a Console ( /Applications/Utilities/Console ) and type the following inside (please take care of spaces and double quotes) : chmod -R a+r &...

OK, here is a work around until it is fixed in the next update. In the "Format" popup in the 'drawer' select PNG instead of jpeg. In any case you shouldn't use jpeg, because the scanner (or more probably the driver) sends jpeg data in this case, which is a lossy compression and you loses s...
