Re: Some new stuff
This model works for me not speaking either language. It benefits from being brief and on point. This is close to a glance's worth of animation successfully communicating its message. I suspect many a Millennial will get it.

Re: Bird Karma, new short by Dreamworks
Interesting. Regarding the AWN article, it is not clear where that TVPaint reference came from. The paragraph contains a quote by Salazar but the source for the use of After Effects, TVPaint and Photoshop is not cited. That said, I do not see anything in this that could not be done using TVPaint. Th...

E-VHWQ6OdK8 Zc39IZxL56U (Referring to a clip in a previous post, not shown in these) They did amazingly well depicting water. There are so many interesting and varied elements. Such attention to detail! Love the highlight/shadowed ripples conforming to the light conditions on the water surface, for...

Re: This Does Not Look Like Toon Boom Harmony To Me - What Do You Suppose It Is?
He said it was a lovely reference, not a lovely colour choice. He hasn't said if he thinks yellow gloves are lovely or not. I was just wondering about the objective of the reference and how successful it is at achieving it. Not many people would comprehend it as a reference. Their reaction would mo...

Re: Dual Screen - how to create the ideal set up?
If you search this forum I described how I am able to use two monitors perfectly. A significant factor is to leave a small space all the way around the interface and do not use full screen mode. I use Macs/OS X so this may not apply to Windows.

Re: A Way to Imitate Disney's C.A.P.S system?
If this is an example of the C.A.P.S. user interface.........what an eyesore!!! Visually, it is in-house software engineering at its practical worst.........with just a little time devoted to aesthetics it could have been improved exponentially. https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/61178640...

I am perplexed with the decision to go as far as producing an episode with the yellow gloves. This should have been rejected at the thought stage, let alone voicing that thought.

Hi Lam, I really love the worlds you create. Thank you for showing what you considered unsuccessful. I agree it can be useful as well as interesting and even fascinating to see. I don't think your first attempt at cigarette smoke was that far off. The shape and movement reads more like fire/flame th...

Re: Underwater Caustic Effects with Perlin Noise
While eating dinner I took another look at this. I compared the final work with that of Adam Phillips's and noticed three things that might help to consider when doing the bottom surface as well as when aiming for the top surface. I think this first one holds true to a sort of rule of cartoon world ...

Re: Underwater Caustic Effects with Perlin Noise
Underwater Caustics... Feedback would be appreciated. I don't mean to be disrespectful or to suggest this is anything but beautiful. But just to provide feedback based on my impression of the result here, there is something about the pattern that reads more like surface waves than you would perceiv...
