Re: how do i change the rotation in only one frame?
The position/rotate tool only changes the frames you have selected - maybe you got confused because it shows your last operation on the new frame you enter. But the rotation/position change will only be permanent when you press return.

Re: Cintiq and drawing area...
I think the temperature is not an issue at all. I use my cintiq the whole day, it's on for about 14 hrs, and it's barely warm. The only problem you will have on a hot day will be your own sweating. In that case a pair of cotton gloves with cut-off tips may help you. Still much better than paper in s...

Or just press "-1" as often as I need ... aaargh! It's all there, again!

Re: motion keyframer on twos
Hmpf. Of course you're right: this approach doesn't work with anything the keyframer produces. I remembered again that this is the reason why I keep scenes in 12fps for as long as possible, making keyframer operations on two's easier. I wonder if there's an opposite function to "add exposure&qu...

Re: shortcut to erase image 50%
Hm, I'd use the "filling shape" tool with mode set to erase and opacity 50%. I think you should be able to make this into a handy tool button.

Re: motion keyframer on twos
Select all frames, then Layer > Exposure > Recompute Exposure. It's also a button in the Exposure tool panel.
This function compares consecutive frames and turns those which are identical into exposures again. I use it after any FX stack operation on already timed animation.

I don't ever use it, but isn't that one of those interlaced codecs? Try something around fields, I'd suggest.

Re: Floodfill rectangle option
I have those spots in my lines all the time, but don't care about them because they will get invisible once the scene gets a BG.

Re: Floodfill rectangle option
Hm, I can see the advantage in this image, but I can as well imagine a lot of trouble in others. I think I would not like this kind of functionality - but again, if I had the choice it would be nice. In general I have had a bit of trouble with TVP's way of dealing with stencils and selections in com...

Re: Breakdowns and Extremes
Keys: the drawings which define the movement. Breakdowns: the drawings which define the arcs and fine-tune the timing. Inbetween: everything else. Extreme: can be a key, but often is just the emphasis of a movement. Don't take this as a law. Get some books and compare their definitions. Most recomme...

Re: The apprentice monkey king's cave
On first reading this sounds like "another technique much too timeconsuming for animation" - I, for myself, don't aim to be Aleksandr Petrov II. But if the story needs this, you certainly could do it this way. Interesting that you ask for puppet controls. TVP doesn't have this, but I use A...

Re: Retiming animation
Read the manual part about instances and exposures. This is for retiming without re-ordering of frames.
If you need to change the sequence of frames, read upon Xsheet.

Re: Newbie question - Animation output is all distorted!
I can only guess what's going wrong. The AVI looks like what happens if you try to save a CMYK image as JPG. I've never seen an artefact like this in an AVI. GIF is not recommended as an output format because it just has 8bits, not 24bits like your artwork - it just can't come out right. Do a test w...

Re: My Graduation film
Saw it a week ago and immediately thought it could've been made with TVP. A bit slow for my taste, and I have a personal thing against static props like her dog collar - I would've animated this as well, in a loop. But I was really impressed by the 3D street tracking (0'50"), did you use 3D or ...
