Re: auto paint
Ah yeah, we're talking about the CTG layer. Not the FX effect. Sorry. The thread is talking about the CTG layer though, right? The FX called auto paint is more your Stroke Recorder isn't it?

Re: auto paint
When you use the auto-paint on a pencil line, the colour follows a very jagged edge where it meets the line. In PS for example you can set the edge on a fill to feather slightly to soften this harsh edge. With a pencil typed line this jagged edge is noticeable through the line so some kind of edge s...

Re: Highlight
Ah ok, I do that by duplicating the matte / colour layer and then doing the highlight on that dupe layer, with light only selected.

Re: Highlight
If you're talking about the clipping mask then the stencil function is the same in TVPaint isn't it?

Re: auto paint
Hi!
Is there's a way to smooth the rest of auto painting? And is there a way to add feather?
Thanks!

Re: 3d in Tvpaint?
The mult-plane effect is kind of a 3D camera. Very slow though, well on my set-up at least.

Re: Insert image without adding frame
Layer: clear will do it too. Well it'll add a new head at the point you do it without pushing frames along. I have it on a keyboard shortcut. Very useful.

Re: Sound exporting issues- sounds very tinny
You should be able to inspect the sound file separately after it's exported in your video player. Do the quality and codec settings match what you wanted o r are they weird?

Re: TOOLS X LAYERS - Assign a layer to a tool and switch both with one click.
I like the sound of this! So I can set new animation layers to always use a blue pencil, new clean up layers to always use black pencil, and new colour layers to always be a watercolour?
I'll have a good look at this before my next job.

Re: Background > None, Colour and Check
So you can see my problem in your video Elodie. I don't want my Check colours linked to the Colour one. Do you understand what I mean?

Re: Background > None, Colour and Check
Nope, It's still black when I check Background to •none. I'm talking about the background toggle at the bottle left of the clip timeline.

Re: Background > None, Colour and Check
The Colour background is linked to the one colour of the checked. So if flat colour is A, then check is A and B. I'd like flat colour to be A, and checked colour to be B and C...

Background > None, Colour and Check
Hi, Is there anyway to have the background colour separate from the colours involved in the check? I'd like a white background layer, but for Check background I'd like a light grey and a mid grey. Which is currently not possible. IF I could change the colour of None to white, from black, that would ...

Re: Special characters in the storyboarding export.
I posted earlier that I'd worked out the problem. The default font used for the pdf export in TVPaint doesn't have special characters. So I changed the font in the publishing options to one I know has special characters and this solved the problem.
