group work

Hi, After hearing from studio owners around the world, that TVPaint is great while working alone, it is not well all adapted to working in groups. It is something I feel would be very beneficial to think about and develop. To my knowledge there are no 2D software that are designed for teamwork. Most...

Re: How to make a living with 2D

One other way the few Swiss animator I came across make a living is by doing illustration and/or anything drawing related. Btw here is an article about the life of an Hungarian animator: Marcell Jankovics http://www.cartoonbrew.com/feature-film/marcell-jankovics-interview-feherlofia-why-would-one-im...

What are you trying to do? What is it that requires you to change your line smoothing constantly?

Re: Inbetween automation solutions and ideas

So much stuff, which wouldn't be worth the effort. Photoshop integrated 3D models and it's so clumsy and impractical that I would always open up blender, even for the simplest stuff. +1 It is a complete waste of the programmer's time considering the amount and work and complexity of implementing th...

Re: Inbetween automation solutions and ideas

It misses the tiny bit of imperfection even the last hand-drawn Disney features had. +1 Totally that's the same issue I have with a lot of 3D productions, the "imperfection" human skills gives life to animation. It is a very similar feeling when comparing a hand man pot and a machine made...

Re: imported images

Thanks ZigOtto,

I didn't know about that checkbox.

I assume that under project->dependencies->save dependencies into the project lets you save all dependencies to the .tvpp files?

imported images

Hello,

I was wondering if imported images become part of the .tvpp file or do they function through dependency like for sounds?

Re: How to make a living with 2D

Did I really say that? Nope you never did, I did :-) Your answer is very clear. I must say it is the first time I get such a clear answer on this topic. I guess it can be said that internet provides the space to find the targeted audience. And to find the target audience one must just look in a mir...

Re: How to make a living with 2D

Thanks Paul. The ideas you brought up in this thread are very interesting indeed. The one point that is difficult to figure out is this middle ground where you great something that appeals to yourself and that people would be willing to pay for. When trying to sell there is always the danger of loos...
