Re: Making sheet for people working in another software
What if I have already sent the scene to another company, and they have imported everything into Toon Boom Harmony, and then I come back with a whole new set of names for the same drawing that I sent them, because I retimed? That is very confusing. They will either have to rename each image by hand...

Re: Change on dongle replacement without notice?
I attend Concordia University and recently asked about 20 students who own their own private copy of TVP for years about this change in policy about dongles. I've lost my dongle, what can I do ? You'd better look a lot harder or pay for a new TVPaint Animation license... It seems pretty brutal, but...

Re: Making sheet for people working in another software
I don't understand why people would want to have instances named for the frame number. What happens when it is retimed? With the custom panel I'm referring to (Mads Juul's 'Tracker Shortcuts') renaming a series of instances on the timeline layer is just the click of a button . So if the timing chan...

Re: Making sheet for people working in another software
So now every layer has it's own name and every instance on that layer has an identifying Prefix letter and is numbered to the frame. That feature is also included by default in TVPaint now :) Is the feature mentioned anywhere in the User Guide or any of the video tutorials ? I'm not sure how the ne...

CSV export (Excel "X-sheet") improvements
This was brought up in another thread (about the "Timesheet" function) , but I think my comments about the CSV export got lost in the discussion about the Timesheet, so I'm starting a separate topic about it here. I find that the current CSV export is cluttered and difficult to read . Is i...

Re: Making sheet for people working in another software
The Timesheet corresponds to Japanese needs. On the current version of the Timesheet , is there any way to adjust the size of the font used , so it isn't so cramped ? What do the Japanese studios do when the numbering in their scenes is in triple and quadruple digits ? The sheet becomes unreadable ...

Re: Light table stuck.
Hi all. Some how I managed to get the light table window fixed in an odd position. After I minimized the window by means of the symbols in the top right corner, it will not maximize into the full maximized size it was before. It now opens like in the attachment. There is no way I can open it more. ...

Re: Making sheet for people working in another software
Hi, Janet - I think I might have a solution for you. It came to me when discussing a similar issue in this topic: https://www.tvpaint.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=11231 . Here's your issue as I understand it : You are animating in TVPaint , but you have collaborators coloring your animation dr...

Re: Instance export
duplicate the layer, select all frames, hit "erase 1 exposure" repeatedly until you only have instances left. Export. This is the way I would usually do it , if I only needed to export a single image of the extremes . However, if you use the new JSON export mode in Export To > Clip Layer ...

Re: Resize/Zoom size of images seen on Multiplane Camera STAGE
That response gives me hope . Thanks !
(the reason I bumped this up , was I just had the same question come up from a colleague I'm tutoring and I replied: "I asked about it , but I don't know if it's possible to do that in the current version . I'm going to ask again." )

Re: Resize/Zoom size of images seen on Multiplane Camera STAGE
Bump. Revisiting this request to ask if something like this is possible with the current engine , or is this something for future development in the next engine ? The request is for an improvement in the Multiplane Camera Stage interface to make it possible to resize (zoom) the images seen in the Pe...

Re: Making sheet for people working in another software
I have all the same questions, D.T. This is what I get when I make an xsheet. There are no numbers at all, only x's and o's. It's totally useless. I see that at least you got numbers, and I don't know how you did it. The older xsheet panel that you shared, which at least has the nicer looking print...

Re: Making sheet for people working in another software
About the numbers: they represent the instances names: in Japan, t hey always name their instances with numbers: thus, they never go higher than 2 digits : they split the scene so it doesn't become too long. Really ? So they never have a scene longer than 99 drawings ?! If the scene goes longer tha...
