TVPaint will not launch - already tried updating software

I recently bought TVPaint a couple of days ago and installed it with no problems at all. However, when I try to open the program, nothing happens, I don't get any error messages and I don't see any signs that it has started up and crashed or anything like that. I browsed the forums for a bit and saw that people were able to fix this problem by getting an unlock code and then installing an updated version. I contacted TVPaint to get my unlock code, uninstalled my previous version and installed the updated version of TVPaint through the website. However, I still get nothing when I try to launch TVPaint and it looks like nothing has changed. I even tried installing the demo version to see it that will work and it doesn't open either. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
