Pixelation on playback?

Post by CynDaVaz »

Hello, my daughter is working with the trial version of this program so that we can decide whether to purchase it or not. She has told me about something that bothers her so I decided to come here and ask. Maybe it's a simple fix. She says that during playback, the image is blocky/pixelated and it bothers her. Is there any way to change that so the image looks better? Since she's using a trial version, she can't export to see how the final product looks.

Hello CynDaVaz, I answered to your contact form request via email ;)

Playback quality can be tuned via the Proxy settings.

Okay, thank you. I didn't get the message so I didn't know you had responded already. Maybe it went to my spam folder. I'll check there.

I just checked - no email. It must have gotten lost in cyberspace. :(

Oh that's too bad, here is a copy-paste of what I sent you, since it could help other people:
The quality of playback is linked to the Proxy options. You can access those by right clicking on the "Proxy" bar under the timeline.

Your daughter can use these options for tuning preview quality, but if her computer lacks power to display the project in full quality at all times, she might encounter some

performance loss while working.
