can't hear audio

Post by bluecarrot »

I imported 3 .wav files on 3 different audio tracks. When I export the scene as a QT movie I can hear the audio in the QT, just as expected.
But I don't hear it during playback or scrubbing in TVpaint. Any tips would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I forgot to mention that I'm using TVP Pro 11.0.8 64 bits on a Mac.

Is your sound turned on in TVP? It's the little loudspeaker icon at the bottom of the project window.

Re: can't hear audio - SOLVED!

Yes, that was it. Solved. Thanks Paul!!!!!
For future reference, I somehow did not see this speaker icon and just paid attention to the other speaker icons in the sound track area. The icon I missed is at the bottom of the project window where we view our work. There is the speaker icon at the left then the loop toggle, camera view toggle and the fps dropdown.

I agree that the icon should be in both locations because it seems that almost everyone asks your question at one point or another. It's a logical point where it is now and I use it a lot just where it is. But to have another one with the other sound related controls would make just as good and logical placement.
