2D animation with 3D model?

Post by Starlight »

Hello, my name is Starling.

I'm looking for a software that would allow me to make 2d animation of the 3d scanned human model. To be more specific, I want to scan myself in a cosplay costume and create a 2D animation based on this model. Something like this 3d model. Will I be able to do that using TVPaint am I missing something?

Thank you :)

TVPaint won't do this. You'll need Unity or a dedicated 3D software. There's nothing 2D in the example.

One thing you could do is to import your animation to tvpaint as reference and then animate over it to get the look you're looking for.
