WOW! That was FAST!

Post by Anim8tor Cathy »

I received my software yesterday and installed it. Unfortunately - It says my temporary license has expired so I can't really do anything with it until I get my unlock code. Bummer.
I thought I had 15 days after the install to use it? The dongle is installed and appears to be working correctly. Well - I can only hope the unlock code gets here quickly!

I am truly amazed at how fast this reached me. 2 days from France to California! I can't get a letter across the US in that short a time! REMARKABLE!

Mine is still held up in customs. I don't get it--I'd figure all of the packages go through with the same carrier, paperwork, etc.

Yes - it is the weekend here too. I'm still playing with the program - even though it has those annoying logos plastered on the screen. It's strange, but I can not seem to get the regular pencil tool to work - I must be doing something wrong. All the other tools work fine. :D

Look if it's not set to ERASE instead of COLOR.

AH HA!! Paul you are, as always, a GENIUS!!

I've been studying your animations (hope you don't mind) and I love the subtlety of your line work. May I ask what you use to draw with? Is it the mechanical pencil tool?

Cathy : the "I can't draw anymore" issue is very common when someone explores TVPaint and try every options.
This question has been answered in the faq (Q23) :
http://www.tvpaint.com/index.php?option ... mid=84#Q23

The FAQ is a good place to find informations, especially the "Drawing, Painting and Animating" section.
Very useful !

It's the most basic PenBrush set at
Size: P, 3.00
Power: C, 100%
Opacity: -- 100%

But now, in TVPaint, I have taken advantage of the expantion of a Profile Editor, to which I have added a somewhat exaggerated S curve so that my pen is even closer to a natural dippy ink pen -- the classic inkers tool.

Apparently they needed some additional information (contents of package, country of manufacture, intended use) which I called and gave them on Thursday. The gentleman I spoke with assured me it would be delivered on Friday. I waited until Saturday to call back and none of the information I had given had been entered into the system. The gentleman I spoke with on Saturday assured me it would be delivered today (Monday). We shall see.
