I thought of correcting it. Technically it is correct if it would say first theatrical feature. I made a TV feature in the early 90's and got an award at Annecy for Best TV feature -- it was just 60 minutes long though. So I left the statement uncorrected.

That's because they didn't have paperless animation back then. Nor did they have TV. I'm not sure, but any film to qualify as a feature for the Oscars and other festivals must be at least 80 minutes in length.

Go Wikipedia

Translation : in France, a movie is considered as a feature length film when duration is more than 58 minutes and 29seconds, that is the equivalent of a standard 35 mm reel of 1600m

For the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the American Film Institute, and the British Film Institute, a feature length film has to be more than 40minutes.

So, as you can see, even for "specialists" there is not rules about feature length film duration...

My, we could have been done a year ago. But it wouldn't sell DVDs too well if it were to be that short.

I agree with Peter, when a new newsletter is coming, a one-click link should be present
(and OBVIOUSLY present) on the home page,
and why not, a secondary (smaller) link to the archived older newsletters.
I enjoyed a lot from reading the long Paul F. interview about his feature "Tulip",
that's probably the first time I feel like having learnt more about the interviewer than from the interviewed !
many thanks to both Paul and Asaf, (and to the french translator as well) !

btw, who's the (chinese) happy new year illustration at top of the page ?
Image
too bad the author is not mentioned ... or am I becoming blind ? :x
is it from Rony ? ... Lemec ? :?:

What is it that you would like to hear even more from me? I thought I said too much! :?

nothing to reproach to your answers, you was great as always, (except perhaps some ones could be more concise sometimes...?),
but my remark was just to say how much I appreciated Asaf's questions quality,
a young artist comparing his budding creator's insecurity to an old hardened creator's assurance.
interesting exchange, indeed ! :)
