autopaint & shrink layer length bug

Post by coeyes »

hi.

I have found significant bug (TVPA 1.1)

I did autopaint effect, and applied it

and shrinked layer length (with interpolation).

and then, layer sequence was abnormal.

check attachment, please.

It happend very frequently if layer length is long. ( maybe 200 frames)

and, sometimes, it didn't happen.

because this bug, i can't use TVPA 1.1 and return to Mirage

ps. sorry for my poor english.

hi coeyes,

After several tests, it seems I don't have this bug on my computer.
Can you write here what is your computer ? PC, Mac, Mac intel, AMD , etc ...

I'm sure the dev team of TVPaint Animation will look at your post as soon as possible (tomorrow in the morning, I guess ;) ) and correct the bug quickly if there is one.
The software use to be constantly updated, especially when someone find a bug :D

EDIT :
ok coeyes, you are right, I have this bug too. I have also an other problem (the color of the stroke changes after the shrink ...)
I'm sure TVPaint dev team will correct it as soon as possible.
Thanks to have found this bug !

I did note manage to reproduce this bug.
Did it appear on the project rendering or only on the layer preview?

thanks for reply.

I use TVPA 1.1 on PC.

and I have also Intel Mac, but I didn't test that on 1.1 (Somebody to test that?)

It didn't appear that bug TVPA 1.0 on Intel Mac (maybe... )

BTW, I have also other problems on that situation.

Sometimes, autopaint & shrinking layer produced that some last frames was lost, and so I pushed UNDO. and then, irrelative frames are created on layer. even it couldn't perform UNDO action.

(I don't have experience of color change bug. ^^)

and, bug appears in both preview & rendering.

a workaround for now (until update is available)
would be to first shrink the layer to the right length
then adjust the autopaint keyframes length to the new layer length
and then apply autopaint

edit..

o... but wait you needed the interpolation ...
hmm...i guess you'll have to wait for the update :?

as a matter of fact, the bug is not related to the AutoPaint function but to the Clear function that you may use before applying the effect.
