How to create custom color eraser?

I use the color erasers a lot. On the default TVP panels there are only erasers for blue, red, green, orange and black. How can I make other erasers with custom colors? Or how can I make a tool, that would grab any current color and erase it?
I tried editing the existing tools, but then I saw scripts with bunch of digits, and I get into a stupor as soon as I see those :/
Any help on that?
Thanks

Uhm, I think there's a technical restriction to a colour eraser: it only works good if it is restricted to one or two channels. So the possible eraseable colours would be R G B, then orange, green, and purple. You can't erase any brown because that would erase all 3 channels.

Technicians: am I right here?

Hmm.. Ok - is it possible to erase only white? well, I guess no.... :(
Other question then - can I select a specific color, like in Photohsop?

Erase white > FX > scan cleaner. This changes all white into transparent, and you may fill that with any colour. Use mode "behind".

Select a colour: use the magic wand (select tool). The numbers are different from photoshop, but the results are the same.

Hey Soom (nice animated gif ^^),

It depends on what you want to do. Can you explain more (or show us images ?)

Hi Elodie
Let's say I want to select a specific color and erase it. Or, select it and paint over the selection. For example - see the image I attached - I want to select all the light-blue color and paint inside the selection. The only way I could do that is use the Magic Wand, but see how many other colors are painted over the blue color, so I cannot select it in one click, I will need to go patch by patch, and it's really not efficient...
In Photoshop there is a simple function "Select Color". In TVP there is no way to do that... (I know TVP is not Photoshop, but IMO this function is necessary for easier painting process)
Or am I missing something?

Thank you for the explanation, I understand better now. Yes, You're right, such a selection could be interesting. =)

At the moment, I advise you to use the FX "color > color replacer" to proceed with such a change.

Thanks, it's a nice FX, but it deletes all the colors, not only white.

How can I select one color in all the image with a Magic Wand? Photoshop has "Select Color" function for that...
