Don't worry, the dongle wont wear from use.
(mine has so far lasted about 12 years) so you can leave it in.
And if for some reason your dongle does brake you can get a replacement from tvpaint...(for a small fee, i think)
but be carefull though... if you loose it, you'll have lost your license and you'll have to buy a new license.
