help, how do i share my config?

i made a copy of my config folder ( that is located in the tvpaint folder in window applications)

how can my colleague then use this?
i renamed it "peter config" and copied it in the same location on her machine.
when i start up tvpaint (with startup panel ) i then choose "change folder" and point to "peter config"... ok.
the strange thing is then nothing happens. the startup panel still states "default config" under configuration.
and when i click "ok" tvpaint starts up with the default config.

What am i doing wrong?

Hello Peter,

To share the config folder on Windows:

• Go in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\tvp animation 11 (pro) ( AppData is a hidden folder)

• Copy the config folder you want to share
• Paste the cofig folder in the same location on her machine.

• The new config should appear in the list of the StartUp Panel:

thank you for answering.

i have some issues with it though.

after i start up tvpaint on the other machine and choose the "peter config"
tvpaint closes again with a message about the color scheme has changed and it needs to be restarted.
then when i restart, tvpaint crashes instantly. i won´t start up anymore until i switch back to the default config.
and then i need to restart again because of that color scheme message.


how can a config crash tvpaint?

I have a question, i think it's related. I remember that I've read that in some thread but i can't find it anymore.
Is it possible to have the same panels and options and config/shortcuts on multiple computers, by updating with a cloud service or just copying the right folder. Is it the folder in appdata we are talking about?

Peter: Please could you send us your config? It will help us to understand the issue.
Sometimes, some parameters can have conflicts with other parameters, particuraly on config which have not change since several years.

Nathan: In theory, it should work, but we didn't test it.
