"repeat last export" button

Post by juansolimar »

Hi, i was wondering some way to create a button to repeat the last export (with the same specifications: name, in, out, frames, layer, folders, etc).

i mean: many times i export in layer structure psd (to work in after effects), and i need to make some modification in some layer. so i have to go to tvp, make the changes, then reexport in the same way (with the same name and folder) to replace the psd that im using in after effects. so, if i have a button to repeat the last export, that would be really useful!

thanks!

Hi,

This is not possible at the moment, but that's an interesting idea, I'll add it in our todo-list :)

This button would be useful for any export. When I'm working on a clip I need to export the clip as an AVI file to Vegas and I will usually repeat the same task several times a day. Each Time, I have to push:

1. File
2. Export to
3. Export
4. Do you Want to Overwrite it?

A one time repeat button with an assignable key command without having to even open the export panel would be super!

Caveat: this button should not omit the "shall I overwrite existing file?" question. Quite often I export the same thing again and again but with ascending numbers in the name.

Maybe this could be done with a special "export behaviour" button in the export panel? This could have 3 options: "don't ask, just overwrite", "same name, but increase number by 1", and "normal" = traditional. This way I can set up the export behaviour as I need it for the day, and be able to change anytime.
