Link layers

Post by Soom »

I stumble too often on a situation, where I need to perform an action on multiple layers at once. It would be nice to be able to link certain layers to be able to perform actions such as transforming shapes, moving frames on a timeline, etc. I'm not talking about batch actions, like you can apply a transformation on "Selected Layers" or color groups, but something you can do quickly on individual frames...
I hate to say it, but it's something that works well in Photoshop.

Since the term "new engine" or "new core" appears more frequently I have to ask: Is it planned to use a new core with version 12 ?

Oh I don't really have to ask, that's just some kind of german phrase, like "I need to know who won in Annecy". You don't really NEED to know, you just want to know. I just would like to ask, but it seems this is a topic you don't want to talk about, which is fine.

EDIT:

I second that.

Thing is, we discussed exactly that at our last animator's meeting in Berlin: does TVP work on any larger change, like re-writing the whole engine? I couldn't answer that, of course.
