When I use Video In and a Webcam, I do not have the ability to see the before and after frame.
If I'm wrong then please direct me to the right setting.

I can flip back and forth but turning on the light table has zero effect.

Please add the ability to see the before and after frame while using TvPaint to shoot stop motion.

What you want to do is possible , but you have to make a few adjustments .

In the Video Input window set the MIX to around 40% - to - 50% .
Set the Light Table to show 1 image before (or multiple images if you prefer to see more than just the last captured image)
Set Light Table color to NONE
Set the Opacity on the layer to around 25% - to - 50% .
Enable the Light Table on the layer.

Now you should be able to see the live image from the webcam video feed superimposed against the previously captured image(s).

I made a tutorial about this with screen grabs for my students which I will share with you:

This used to be easier to understand from some of the illustrations included in the older TVPaint 9 user manual, but the TVPaint 10 and TVPaint 11 user manuals don't have these images (or similar) to demonstrate the settings needed for efficient stop-motion frame capture:

The Moana alterations are great. Do you know what kind of magnets he is using on her feet?

Note sure about the magnets. You should message him on Tumblr. He's very responsive and will share information.
