Split a COLO & Texture layer on the bases of the used colors

Post by Peter Wassink »

For some purposes in our current production it would be extremely helpfull if we could split an already colored Colo &Texture layer in two.
and to do this on the basis of the colors on it.

its currently not possible and requires manually removing squiggles
it could be done by giving us this option in the menu

And if you click on "all colors separately"? :) then you delete colors you don't need

yes but then you have animationlayers
i want two c&T layers.

i worked round by duplicating then deleting one range of colors in one layer and the other range in the other c&T layer.
turns out doable...

But isn't it coloring wrong areas then? Or you don't calculate the coloring on the new layers?

If you put your different colors on 2 C&T layers, the computation won't consider the squiggles in the other layer, so the result will be different.
The best way to get the C&T layer working efficiently is to place the colors on this same layer.
