embedding a copy of a custompanel to the project

I really like the embed option for custompanels,
It makes it possible to easily attach and share a panel with a project.
but i would like the default behaviour to be that this function embeds a copy and not moves the panel entirely out of tvpaint.
now if you close project with the embedded custompanel, you loose your custompanel!

Yea, should be a copy +1

I personally like when the custom panel embeded to one specific project is leaving out with its attached project closed,
so a (little) +1, but only as an (user defined) option.

Zig, can you explain what you mean because the sentence above just hot wires my brain... :|

I agree with Peter, I'd rather have TVP not remove the custompanel from TVP when it turns a regular custompanel into an embedded one. That would make it easier to delegate TVP files with (for example) the proper brushes to co-workers

Exactly. When Sandra returns my project colored, I often need to fix some mistake in animation that wasn't obvious to me when it was in pencil test form. Now she can embed the palette she has been using so that I can add the colors to the few new frames myself instead of sending the entire project back to her to fill the few frames, and return to me ( and do this without having to remember to create a copy of her palette before she sends it over).

sorry, I empathize with your overheating brain because my bad english  ,
... so let me try again in other words :

when I close a project, I like to make all the CP attached to it disappeared,
because I embed only panel(s) with custom brushes being part of the project,
and so of no use in other projects.
like that, I can keep my tvpa interface as light and clean as possible.
(=> project file heavier <> config file lighter)

not sure it's more clear now, but I just want to keep the ability to "embed-move" a C.P. , that's all.

of course, I've nothing against a new option to "embed-copy",
but in that case, what should happen when you close + re-open the project ?
- ... tvp add a duplicated CP ?
- ... overwrite the CP when one existing with the same name ?
- ... or don't load it if a CP with the same name is already present ?
- ... or compare and keep the more recent one ?
- ... or ask to the user what to do ? ... or ?

I see. Thanks for explaining, Zig. :)

I also prefer if the embedded panels disappears. But an 'import embedded panel" is a good option i think, and i prefer the "see the 2 panels" option if there is tweens, so you don't have to lose anything from any update and can use everything.
