blending modes

with the current architecture, is it possible to add layer 'blending' options (like After Effects and Photoshop has) without the need to set up the keyframer and apply?
something like a pulldown menu in the layers panel, or an addition to the pop-up menu, that will let us change from Normal to Multiply to Add etc. (maybe even Alpha only mode?)

I know this sounds like I want more compositing features (which is unlike me) but I use bleding modes to experiment with visuals and looks, and I just hate reverting to After Effects for stuff like that. I love to do everything in tvpaint, and from there straight to the editor for some sound.

The blending modes is something that is requested for a long time.
It's always good to us that people keep requesting things like that, that will only make us do them.
That's the case with the blending modes... but i can't say when for the moment.
