Canvas pan, rotate, zoom info ?

Post by spyderheart »

In keeping with an ongoing obsession to eliminate the keyboard from my workflow without compromising speed and functionality, I'm working on an Autohotkey script that allows you to do a one-handed manipulation (pan, zoom, and rotate) of the canvas with just the pen (no modifier keys, etc...).

It would be very helpful to know the exact position and size of the Animator Disk HUD that pops up for rotations (When holding down Alt + CTRL for example). It is always centered and sized to the canvas window area - but the canvas area varies as you resize or collapse the timeline, toggle side drawers, etc.

Autohotkey's window spy does not see any deeper than the parent window of the entire TVPaint app so I have no way of specifying the canvas window to the script.

Is there any way to access the internal layout values for the canvas window? George or otherwise?

Thanks!
David
