The CTN Expo was indeed a very good experience for us.
It's an excellent opportunity to meet many talented people : lead animators, storyboard artists, character-designers, students or graduated students...
Anthony Eduresse : Don Perro's student animating Lilo.

Thierry will share a link to a music compositor he met on the Job topic. This may interesting some of you.

And, above all, it was an excellent occasion to talk about different potential partnerships with :
• Smith Micro Software (Anime Studio developpers)
• The Foundry (Flix solutions)
• and Wacom !

By the way, I would like to thank Wacom US team, especially Hope Hadduck for her help and support (we could loan 2 Cintiqs 24" and 22" thanks to her), Joe Sliger and Douglas Little for their kindness and their good mood.

Joe is the person who share the picture posted by David. He also recorded 2 TVPaint users, Don Perro (teacher at Capilano University) and one of his student, using TVPaint on different tablet kinds.
I assume they will share the videos soon on the Internet (if they haven't yet).

Due to the numerous people we had during those 3 days, we will obviously have a bigger booth next year, with more tablets and TVPaint to test simultaneously. :D

David : I'm so sad I couldn't meet you, even if I know more or less the reasons. Anyway, James said us hello for you :)
I do hope that next time, we will finally meet !

Sounds great. Especially Wacom and The Foundry could be very interesting partnerships, I guess. I never tried flix, cause it seems to be made for big production pipelines, but Mischief could profit from TVpaints toolset, and vice versa. Even if it's a extremly new piece of software.

Could you tell us a bit more about TVPaint 11s features or maybe something about an approximate realease date?

Thanks for posting the pictures, it's nice to see that TVP is well on it's way to becoming a standard in contemporary hand drawn animated productions, deservedly so, I think.

Yes please do, if you can. If only to wet our appetites...
One nice new feature I can see from the pictures above is a new color palette, if I'm not mistaken.

I was eyeing that as well -- it looks like perhaps it might allow for the bounding of a color gamut within the color wheel. I'm excited about the prospect of a proper color wheel, if so… :P
