What would make the ultimate 2d animation software?

Post by VGmaster9 »

If there would be a 2d animation software that would have the best features of various software and making Toon Boom Harmony feel like a toy, what would they be? For example, the drawing/painting tools of TVPaint, the rigging tools of Moho, the visual fx and compositing of After Effects, etc.

This is another in a long line of hypothetical questions with a much too broad scope recently, and sorry, but I'm fed up with it.

There is no such thing as the one ideal software for everybody. Everyone has their own favorite way of doing things. IMO the best approach is to design a certain set of functions with a defined scope as good as possible, and make exchange with anything else as simple as possible.
TVP 10.0.18 and 11.0 MacPro Quadcore 3GHz 16GB OS 10.6.8 Quicktime 7.6.6
TVP 11.0 and 11.7 MacPro 12core 3GHz 32GB OS 10.11 Quicktime 10.7.3
TVP 11.7 Mac Mini M2pro 32GB OS 13.5

This is just for fun. What I mean is that what would be the amount of software that would make any other individual. software pale in comparison.

How about a module system of all features in existence?

You would in essence assemble your own "rig" as in the context of musical instruments.

Few individual's rigs would be identical.
Main System: Mac Mini running OS X: Big Sur | M1 | 16GB RAM | have not installed TVPaint on new M1 need to update to current as of 9/2022 ...pending non-dongle license 1/2023 | iPad Pro, Apple Pencil and Astropad | Wacom Intros Pro
