ok, so since ToonZ has almost no painting tools, it's mostly hand paper made animation + FX. (traditionnal old fashion way)

Ghibli will shows us making TV program how to drawing or post-effecting "Princess Kaguya" in November 2013.
Now I am able to share this video when Digital Video promote "Toonz" coloring Sumi-e FX function as same technique for "YAMADA" (08:03- / spoken in Italiano).

Line art (sheet 1) + for Coloring line art (sheet 2) + "Sumi-e (Ink wash painting)" Masking paint (sheet 3)= three times drawing per A sheet × about 5,000,000 during 8 years.

I am confused about the description of the technique . Your earlier comment seems to say that the "Sumi-e" ink wash technique is simulated in the Toonz software , but your other comment makes me think that the technique in "Princess Kaguya" is rendered on 3 sheets of paper : Sheet 1 = Line Art , Sheet 2 = coloring for line art , Sheet 3 = Sumi-e ink wash . (3 sheets used for each frame of the animation) Then this animation is scanned to Toonz for compositing (?) .

That is right.

Here is a Ghibli and HP WorkStation seminor on 2006 presentation :
