artist link

Post by thearts »

here is a web blog of a korean artist ki hyun ryu
as u can see he worked on the animation show avatar , boondocks , and many other projects. One of the other work he worked on is a korean animation called " wonderful days". on his site u can see many of his works and pencil line test.

i personally seen "wonderful days" it's a very interesting animation combining 2s and 3d animation.

I thought his work was very interesting, his drawings are strong for animation and very fluid.

(not sure if someone will read all this but it's one of the requirements to post)

jason ryan's website .

http://www.jrawebinar.com/body.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

he worked in walts disney for some years and now is working for Dreamworks.
He's teaching animation from his website. i found it very useful . You can download some free tutorials and watch many examples.

some videos are not free, if you register u can downlaod his previous tutorial videos. he used flipbook in his videos but tvpaint can also be use, and it's easy to follow.

the ones that are free are the fundemental webminars and ramp ups videos,
the series are not free. but still u will learn alot with the free videos.

"techniques and 2D animation in general."

this thread is about techniques and 2d animation in general.
also many post under this category are not about tvpaint .

example
Richard Williams - Animation MasterClass animated line up
Linetest blog !
TOEI
"Her Morning Elegance" in stop motion
DTV Blog
Animation Principles on Rainplace.net

i mean come on i can go down the list

I suppose I miss a commentary in many of your posts. If you find something so interesting that you are compelled to share your discovery and feelings about what you have discovered with others, then by all means share, but share more than just the link.

right we all should do that,
1. about the site/artist or whatever we're gonna post.
2. our personal feelings about it and about the artist.
3. any misc information about it .

if we use this format it would be great. :D please pass it out to other users.

what do u think moderators ? what are your opinions ? should we set a standard for posting ?

It's ok, we can proceed in this way,

the "personal feelings" are the most important I think, and we have to be careful to stay nice when discussing about other feelings. :)
