Loisel animated

Post by ZigOtto »

for those who know Régis Loisel, here's an interesting project,
a "WellDone" Prod. 2D/3D movie, an ambitious adaptation from the saga "La quête de l'oiseau du temps"
the trailer (WorkInProgress) from their site to get a first idea...

Loisel is one of my favourite artists, i love his love for drawing

and i used to love this album, not sure how much i'd like it now its been so long, back then it felt so new and different and wonderfull

some of the stuff in the trailer looks really good, i hope they'll be able to leave it like that, i mean that they don't clean it too much
the 3D stuff doesn't look half as nice, i think

for another "comic turned animation" check out this trailer.
from mike mignola, its
very much true to his original style: http://www.scifi.com/amazingscrewonhead/

humm ..i'm very impressed by the 'La quête de l'oiseau du temps' trailer. My greatest fear about it is not the animation (which looks really nice ) but the way they'll simplify or make ther movie parent-friendly. :p

I am surprised that they included "l'ami Javin" in the movie!
