use of crt monitor for my svideo videocard output

Post by donbartolo »

Instead of using a tv to see the video output of my wysiwyg supporting programms (like 'premiere' or 'after effects') i would like to use a crt monitor.

I bought a svideo/composite to svga convertor for making it possible.
It seems to work almost fine.
Composite is very bad quality, but svideo is acceptable. But the image quality is not perfect. Some errors appear when objects animate fast.

I bought a Grand Video convertor ( http://www.datapro.net/products/CSV-955B.html ) for my Iilyama Vision master pro monitor (which has only svga)

I have also a Sony crt monitor with RGB BNC connections. Somebody told me it is possible with a coax cable with BNC adaptator to link to my s-composite video output.

Did someone already tried to use a monitor with SVGA /rgb BNC input to the svideo output of it's videocard, with a very good result?
Or is it better to just buy a good tv? ^^

Many thx guys, if someone has an answer for this problem. :p
