Ain't it Cool recently posted, not one, but two wonderful articles about the documentary 'Persistence Of Vision'; it offers a reconstruction of the making (and breaking) of Richard Williams' animated feature 'The Thief and the Cobber' and it is making its round along film festivals and screenings around the world.
The first is about The Thief and the Cobbler and it's fan-revised editions over the years, and the second is an interview with the director of Persistence Of Vision.
I was lucky enough to see POV at the Klik Animation Festival in Amsterdam, and it's a GREAT documentary about the quest for perfection and the realities of filmmaking. Funny, awe inspiring and scary at the same time. It really moved me.
