Thanks for coming to Cardiff Elodie!

Post by JQuinn »

We had the pleasure of Elodie Moog's company in Cardiff last week. She spent a day with us but blimey she squeezed a lot in!

Firstly she visited me at my studio and gave me super top TVP tips and answered all the questions I've been preparing for ages!!

.....then I whisked her over to Cloth Cat studio to view work in progress on the Ethel and Ernest feature - which she thought is looking fabulous.

We then skidded her over to the waiting students in the Animation department of the University of South Wales, where she gave a speedy and amazingly thorough guide to the Wonders of TVP! The students loved her - and of course the software!

After a spot of food we jogged over to an monthly animation event held in Cardiff called Animation Grill, where people show their work and you Grill them! http://www.skwigly.co.uk/inaugural-card ... ss-review/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Everybody was very excited to have Elodie there. After that she ran to get her train!

A massive MERCI from all of us in Cardiff for being so generous with your time - especially from me for your one to one help. I learnt soooo much. x

Oh my ! You've even created a topic about my visit ! :D

Thank you so much for your kindness Joanna, I had an amazing day of your company. Thank you for driving me all around Cardiff and for feeding me
I was really glad to share my knowledge about TVPaint (as I always do, but with such a great lady, it's even nicer !). Joanna, you truly are a Queen to me ! :D

This event really is a great idea : students can meet people from the industry to improve their skill. That's something we should have everywhere. The only similar event I know is in Sweden and is called "animationsbar". But I don't know if it still exists.

Aaah, I've seen the video ten_zero posted some years ago (maybe two?) and was really happy I found it, but to be honest, I didn't know who Joanna Quinn is. Now I've come to full circle (is this even an english expression ?). So thank you Joanna.
