Michael Sporn's Kickstart Project -- POE

Post by idragosani »

I don't think this has been mentioned here before, but Michael Sporn is trying to kickstart a new animation project based on Edgar Allen Poe's life:

Please consider contributing! It's a great way to become involved with independent animation!

That seems to be the kind of film I'd like to see . I'm interested to see it developed further, so I contributed.

It's interesting that for all the chatter on the internet about how people miss hand-drawn animation and wish it would "come back" there doesn't seem to be much real support from the fan base. I get the feeling most of 'em are sitting around waiting for Disney to "save 2D animation" ... sorry, it aint' gonna happen.

I noticed that yet another Video Game project hit (and exceeded ) their funding goal in just 2 days on KickStarter:

Gaming fans put their money where their mouth is !
Most of the contributions are in the $10 - $25 range. Some can afford to give more , some less , but WOW , they raised $157,272 in a few days (the target number was $100,000)
