i heard about it a early februari from someone with some inside info.

as you can see in the image
is has all its buttons on one side, and there is no up or down side so lefthanded drawers simply rotate it 180 degrees and attach the power cord on the new top side.
the touch strip is replaced by an ipodlike touchdial
There are now more options to set shortcuts and macro's and the buttons have a form of visual (led) feedback

probably the best news:
it has double pressure levels compared to the Intuos 3 and a new precision modus (whatever that is exactly )

pen comes with 8 different kinds of pentips
and the mouse is now optional

available end of march

2048 level of pressure ? I'm ot sure that a human hand can really feel the difference between 1024 and 2048 level of pressure ... :?:

it looks like it's for right-handed people, unless you can turn it around and configure it reversely. But then the usb cord will be in a less-convenient position.
The touch ring looks handy, it it can be used as a dial (although it would probably suffer from same limitation as the inutos3 touchstrip, which didn't give any feedback to the velocity of advancement)

i'm afraid for this as well, however it might turn out usefull for rotating the project window, as this provides direct visual feedback

Well I'm pleasantly surprised at the prices. The large is about the same as my Intuos 3 and plenty big enough for me. I don't think I really need a new one though since my old one works fine still.
