The Rendering > Background Generator effect

The Background generator effect is used to create horizontal, vertical or four corner color gradients. These gradients are applied to the current image as described in lesson 2.

You may choose any color you like as well as the opacity and then have them change with time by creating FX Stack keyframes.

Below, you will find four examples of gradients used in Colorize, Add, Tint or Subtract mode.

It is also possible to change the colors of clouds, planet, or even place the planet within a bluish atmosphere…
