Re: Brush tool lagging

Ok, sorry I was obviously too quick to answer : it's not especially about the screen resolution but rather the screen density, aka Retina

Tell me if I'm wrong : the previous versions work in "non-Retina" (so called "low resolution") mode, right ?

Re: switch off part of a layer.

You now have the "delete & let empty" option available in the latest version !

For the current engine, a layer is one indivisible part. That's a workaround :)

Re: URGENT: Can't open my project in TVPaint to be submitted tomorrow, please help!

Which operating system do you use ? which version of TVPaint ?

And where did you save your files ? on a local drive, a usb key, a network drive ?

Re: multipy mode difference

So you say that the blending mode of the bottom layer is actually meaningful ? I'd like to understand, could you please provide an example ? a PSD file where the bottom layer blending ends up being different than color for instance ? (just to mention : I'm a developer, not an artist, so it may be ob...

Re: multipy mode difference

Thanks Peter for the clarification ! Sorry for the confusion with the vocabulary : yes, my question was about the bottommost layer and only this one ;) So I'd do the same as with the switch to "display current layer" : when a layer is the bottommost, then its blending mode is overriden and set to "c...

Re: multipy mode difference

Question : do we agree that for the bottom layer, when there is nothing or just the background below, the blending mode of the layer can only be "color" ? (I think I should lock the blendmode list for the first layer)

Re: Brush tool lagging

Now it's a shame to have a 4K display and not being able to use it at its fullest, so any solution to at least be able to switch to a higher res without working on a slideshow would be appreciated ! As explained previously, more pixels on the screen mean more pixels to manage by TVPaint. The lag is...
