Re: I'm impressed

I agree - TVP has the best most natural feeling drawing engine. One other thing in it's favour (there are many) is the great support you can get at this forum too.

Re: Gap Closer?

if you want to erase the flood fill you can - without erasing the outlines Just put your flood fill on a different layer - you can change the source layer that the flood fill uses for it's outline. Then click to fill and right click to remove the fill. I used to love Flipbook too, till I discovered...

Re: Slow billowing smoke..

That's so true... No one ever seems to know what they want till you show them a few ideas, then they seem to suddenly develop a long list of things they don't want!

Re: Connection Settings Window

I'm on an Intuos 3, and I can't make it do anything either! The mystery panel!

Re: Connection Settings Window

Well, the buttons next to the various pen input variables (Size, Power, Opacity etc.) are called Connection Buttons. So, I think the Connection Panel must give finer control over how these variables behave. I haven't tried it myself - but I'm going to have a play with it now!

Re: Graphics cards and TVPA Q.

I understood that TVP uses only the CPU and doesn't utilise the graphics card at all, but your experience would suggest otherwise. It's all witchcraft to me, so I'll stand aside and allow those who know what they're talking about be heard.

Re: Contour Shuttle Pro settings file

I would be happy to, but I don't think it would be much use as I've heavily customised the shortcuts in TVP in order to accommodate the Shuttle Pro. Once you get going setting it up, it's pretty intuitive and doesn't take long though. I have the jog wheel set to step through bookmarks/instances and ...

Re: Wacom driver's "Force Proportions" setting

As I understand it, Force Proportions will make the drawing area of your tablet match the proportions of your monitor. So, if you have a widescreen monitor and a widescreen tablet, then it's not necessary to tick this option. If, like me, however, you have a 4x3 tablet and a widescreen monitor, you ...

Re: Stop!

BRILLIANT! Thanks Paul. It works perfectly - and the toggle marker panel is as good as you say it is too. You not only solved the issue I asked about, you also solved another one that I didn't know I had!

Re: Stop!

Sorry - I don't think I explained myself very well. Here's an example of what I mean: If I am playing back an animation and I hit the Pause button - the animation will stop but the Play/Pause button will remain highlighted - indicating the animation is paused. Whilst this button is highlighted, all ...

Stop!

Sorry for the rather abrupt topic title - couldn't resist! I was wondering if it is possible to assign a keyboard shortcut to the 'Stop Preview Playback' button. I know that Shift+Space is assigned to Play/Pause, but when the playback is paused, another click is needed before I can scroll back...

Re: How to re-assign Alt ( Zoom : Pan, Zoom : In/Out ) ?

Yes, and even though mine is second hand, I contacted customer support, and they happily sent me out a new sheet of the labels that fit under the nine see though plastic buttons at the top. Which was nice of them.

Re: How to re-assign Alt ( Zoom : Pan, Zoom : In/Out ) ?

Well - I'm left handed and I use one of these: http://retail.contourdesign.com/?/image/60/44 It's a Contour Design ShuttlePRO. You can pick them up new for about £60 - but I got mine second hand from eBay for less than half that. For animation, or any timeline based editing, they are excellent, and ...

Re: animation

Slowtiger is right. The data is still there. There is software available that will retrieve lost and deleted files for you, but the safest option is definitely to take your drive to a specialist.
