Re: Automatic inbetweener

Obviously I don't want to see any abandonment of 2D features in TVP, and it's the best and fullest 2D animation program in existence right now, no contest. But I'm also intrigued by the prospect of automating some parts of the process, and it would be nice to have the choice to do so in appropriate ...

Beautiful drawings, Andrew! Reminds me of Sylvain Chomet's work. :)

Re: Hide All Panels shortcut?

Also, if you're on Windows at least, this is a situation where Autohotkey really shines. I have a special Autohotkey script for TVPaint running in the background with all kinds of key reassignments and key combos bound to single keys.

Re: Update 10.0.13

I have shut off Barbecue, and this solved the stroke delay for a while - now I am finding that after running for a few hours, I'm getting slowdown again. The file is not very big, only 60 frames or so. Is there some kind of memory leak issue?

How charming! It reminds me of the old UPA cartoons, I love the modern design.

A hedgehog playing the bass

http://i.imgur.com/lHxKe.gif This took me about 5 hours in TV Paint 10. I have to say - at first I didn't understand the colors/folders system, because I'm coming from a Photoshop background. However, I now find this system to be better for animation. The reason is that, if you have layers grouped ...

Re: Update 10.0.13

Yes, also experiencing a delay - remarkable, as this is the first time I can recall TVP stuttering at all! I'm used to it in Photoshop...

Inbetweening on some Preston Blair drawings

I took 12 drawings from Preston Blairs "Advanced Animation" and registered them in TVPaint, then did FX->Scan Cleaner. I then attempted to add the missing drawings as an exercise. The drawings with blue numbers are mine. Even though the numbering is on 1's (has even numbers), it appears th...

"Springy" flipping

As I mentioned in another thread, I find tigerknight's roll drawings macro to be the very best flipping system! I would love to see this system integrated into TVPaint. Why it's so good: - lets you hold down a key to see and work on prior frames, rather than either flipping back instantly or flippin...

Re: "Flip Book + Out of Pegs"?

Thank you, Mads. That seems to explain why the hotkey didn't seem to be activating anything yet. For now I'm using the "roll.ahk" Autohotkey script which tigerknight posted. This is the only thing which seems to flip the drawings in a useful way for me! It's the closest to rolling on paper...

Re: "Flip Book + Out of Pegs"?

Hello Paul! Thanks for your welcome. I will clarify one thing: I reviewed the Out of Pegs feature in the manual and played with it a bit in the Light Table Panel -- however, I can't see the function of the hotkey, or why it is grouped among the Flip Book settings. One last guess -- does this feature...

"Flip Book + Out of Pegs"?

Hello everyone! I am excited to be learning how to use all the features of TVPaint. The interface is intimidating, a bit like trying to fly a plane. When I go to keyboard shortcuts, I see Preview: Flip Book + Out of Pegs. What does this function do? I assigned it to a key but when I press it, I can'...

Re: Would 2011 Tablet PC's (like Xoom, Ipad) work with TVPP

As yet, TVPaint is only for Windows, MacOS, and Linux. The Asus EP121 runs Windows 7, so TVPaint will run on that. However, there is not yet a version for Android or iOS (on the iPad).
